  • kayakers on the Monterey Bay

    Sunset Kayak Trip

Friday, May 19 |5:00PM-9:00PM| OPERS Parking Lot

    $20 Fee and Registration Required

Evening is the easiest time of day to paddle on the bay of Santa Cruz, after the afternoon winds pick up and chop up the water surface. It is also the best time to see wildlife. Seals, sea lions, sea otters and dolphins stand out and are more easily viewed during this time of day. So, it is the perfect time to join us for a kayak cruise from the calm waters of the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor through the coves and kelp forests of the Santa Cruz Wharf and Lighthouse area. This is the perfect trip for beginners and groups of friends who are looking for a relaxing yet invigorating experience.
    No experience kayaking is necessary.
NOTE: This trip was originally scheduled for May 5th, but postponed due to poor weather conditions.
